Toshiba PBX Series

Toshiba, which started in engineering and electronics, had only launched its PBX products in the late 1990's.

1996 : SRATA DK (analogue)
2002 : STRATA CTX (hybrid)
2004 : STRATA CIX (IP)

Although a latecomer, Toshiba PBX models has shifted from analogue to hybrid to IP technology in a relatively short time.

Panasonic PBX Series

Panasonic, although still early in the PBX industry (compared to other manufacturers), does have a complete PBX models line-up.

1980's : KX-T (analogue)
1990's : KX-TA and KX-TD (analogue)
2000's : KX-TEA, KX-TES and KX-TEM (analogue)
2004 : KX-TDA (hybrid)
2007 : KX-TDE (IP)
2009 : KX-NCP (IP)

Panasonic had been rather successful with its analogue PBX. You will notice that Panasonic only embraces hybrid / IP technology in the recent years.

NEC PBX Series

Unlike other PBX manufacturers, NEC started in the communications line. Therefore, NEC series of PBX models is long. This article is going to list those more recent PBX models, starting from the 90's.

In the timeline above, you will also notice that the PBX models changed from circuit-switched (analogue) to hybrid to IP-switched architecture.
